Bicycle ferry | Nyeskou tea shop - Vegelinsoord
The Nyeskou cycle ferry ferries you from the bank to the Nyeskou tearoom for €1. A ferry has been operating at this spot since 1750 as an initiative of the noble Vegelin van Claerbergen family. Initially as a fast connection between Joure and Leeuwarden. Now the ferry is especially loved by the many cyclists.
Enjoy a delicious cup of fresh tea or coffee with something sweet, such as homemade apple curd cheese or monchout pie, at the teashop across the street. Here you can also cosy up inside or a colder day. After you have calmed down among the sheep, cows and Friesian horses, you can continue along the cycle route.
The ferry sails daily between 10:00 and 18:00 from 1 April to 15 October. For questions, contact the owners.
