Battery below Poederoijen - Poederoijen
The Battery under Poederoijen is a small defensive fortification that had to protect the older fortresses Loevestein and Woudrichem situated behind it. The fort was built between 1879 and 1886. You can still see the original entrance bridge here, which is very unique! The fort can be visited during guided tours.
Within walking distance of this battery you will find the twin fort Battery under Brakel.
