Asschatterkeerkade - Leusden

The Asschatterkeerkade dates from 1745 and can be found east of Leusden. It took a very extensive exploration to create the Asschatterkeerkade. Many levelings preceded this. The hamlet of Asschat turned out to be suitable because of the sand ridge in this place. The cover sand ridge created a watershed that worked, more or less, naturally.
