Asparagus farm 'Het Nijenhuis' is located in Overijssel. The atmospheric farm in Diffelen is located in the beautiful Vechtdal area in Salland. In the asparagus season, you can buy day-fresh asparagus in the new farm shop.
In 1986 they started with the cultivation of asparagus. This special cultivation requires a lot of preparation and effort. All the work is mainly manual. Harvesting, i.e. the cutting of the asparagus, begins in the month of April and ends on 24 June (St. John's Day). In this period you can fully enjoy this delicious vegetable. Besides a variety of photo material, there is a film about the cultivation: planting, cutting, sorting and packing of the asparagus, everything is shown. On the farm, they are also happy to give you advice on how to prepare asparagus, whether traditionally or very surprisingly.
