In the four huge vertical, mask-like and stretched silhouettes, you can easily recognise calm faces that almost touch each other with mouth and nose. Installed in 2017, the aluminium sculpture by Rijnsburg artist Joop van Egmond (Rijnsburg, 1943-2018) symbolises love and connection of the villages of Voorhout, Rijnsburg, Ugstgeest and Noordwijk.

Joop van Egmond made many drawings, illustrations, paintings, large watercolours, sculptures and spatial objects. He also designed floats for the flower parade for many years.
