Artist GOMAD (Marcus Debie 1972) was commissioned by the municipality of Berkelland to create this huge work of art on a Beltrum silo. The work is part of the Silo Art Tour, in which various artists tell the unique story of the Achterhoek by transforming barns, silos and other agricultural buildings into works of art.
It became an ode to Beltrum. The colour-blind GOMAD created a colourful work symbolising local traditions. An owl representing knowledge, wisdom and transformation. A huge Mignon Dahlia associated with and frequently used in Beltrum's annual flower parade. A flower girl and a cart wheel, the link to the traditional agricultural background of this region.
