Art picnic spot Sailboat - Grijpskerke
Eight art picnic spots have been designed on the Walcheren peninsula by artist Joke de Witte (1950-2015). The idea behind the playful designs is that tourists on Walcheren are strangers to the environment, just like art picnic spots. Strangers experience the environment differently from locals, and in turn share this with locals.
Most of Domburg's artists did not come from the seaside town itself, but moved here for inspiration. Which they then shared with the public through art.
On all works of art made of steel, you can sit down to enjoy the beautiful view of the surroundings.
