The Ankertsjerke church is an old and very beautiful church in Oudega, Súdwest-Fryslân. Its history begins in 1132 with a wooden chapel. In 1500, a stone church with a gabled roof tower was built. The present hall church was built in 1755. Old wood from the previous church was reused then. In 1757, the church was extended. The tower was replaced by a wooden tower with a spire in 1868. The bell was retained; the specimen from 1623 announces the service every Sunday morning.
On the inside, too, the church is a picture. The ceiling consists of a blue-green barrel vault and there is a pulpit from 1755. The organ dates from 1874 and was built by L. van Dam and Sons.
The church stands in a fenced cemetery and is a national monument. Restorations in 1956 and 2014 preserved the building. The entire side facade is covered by lush ivy, adding to its special appearance.
