An attractive estate in Kerkwerve, Zeeland, is home to Sandra Radecke's Alpaca and Falabella Ranch. The breeding farm has a herd of around 30 alpacas and welcomes around 15 crias (young alpacas) every year. The gentle animals originate from the Altiplano: the high plains of South America. Bred for their beautiful fur, the camelids are used to people; it is a treat to meet the animals.
At Sandra's ranch, Falabella horses are also bred. This is a miniature horse originally from Argentina. It is a rare and special breed, which should especially not be confused with a mini pony. The beautiful and smallest horses in the world grow to about 80 centimetres tall.
From April to October, you can reserve a spot via the website to get to know the special animals at this ranch with a Meet & Feed or a game of Alpaca Golf. At the ranch's visitor centre, you can buy alpaca-related products.
