Boekesteyn (derived from 'boeke', meaning beech) has a park-like forest and stately beech avenues. Boekesteyn House was probably built around 1770. The characteristic tower was added around 1920. At that time, the garden was also changed into a landscaped park. The house itself is office space and not open to the public. The park around it, however, is accessible and a lovely area.
On Boekesteyn Estate, in the farmhouse, you will find the Gooi and Vecht Visitors' Centre. The landscapes, the plants and animals and the rich history come to life in the interactive exhibition. Fun for adults and children.
